Dining for a Cause: Aluna’s Charity Support for Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Angels, sometimes we get caught up in the excitement and mischievousness of a night out and we are all for that (trust us!) but this year we wanted to create a little bit of giving in all of that indulgence. And to support our hometown of Birmingham, we thought there is one thing for it! Partnering with a Birmingham based charity that we can raise money for throughout 2024 and a bit of 2025.

Charity work plays a crucial role in supporting the most vulnerable members of our society. After all, charities rely on charitable contributions from individuals and businesses within the UK, which is why we wanted to employ a new initiative it to what we do, year in and year out at Aluna. A new year, a new Birmingham charity to support. This year is Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Charitable donations can come in a variety of forms. The most obvious way to support a charity is to donate money directly to the organisation – which is fine right, but is it tasty?? The answer is hell no! So Aluna welcomes all of the Angels from Birmingham and beyond to the venue to enjoy in tasty food and delightful cocktails and mocktails and offer the opportunity to give back at the same time.

So first things first. £1 pound on the bill. We invite our guests after a fabulous, and well deserved evening of indulgence to pop £1 on the bill and this £1 will turn into multiple pounds (thanks to our wonderful guests) which we will send to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Customers are invited (not forced) to add £1 to their bill which is then donated to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

The next little plan to raise some money for this amazing charity is a mocktail creation (I mean we wouldn’t be Aluna if it didn’t involve a delicious drink, right?). For every Passion and Soar Mocktail we sell, 20% of the £6 mocktail price is donated to the charity.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is an incredibly important charity supporting children in Birmingham through the most difficult times in their lives. This charity believes all children deserve a childhood regardless of their medical conditions and I couldn’t agree more. Which I support their aim to provide specialist paediatric care including advanced treatments, complex surgical procedures and cutting-edge research to more than 100,000 children across the UK and beyond. All of my customers are encouraged to get involved, to order mocktails and add an extra £1 to their bill and help the restaurant to raise as much funds as possible for this valuable charity.
